This weekend, Paul and I went to the most beautiful wedding. Our good friends, Steve and Melissa got married in Rockport, Massachusetts at Halibut Point State Park. It was absolutely gorgeous. The ceremony overlooked the ocean that was just so peaceful and still.
The park had a lighthouse, which you could see from the ceremony site.
There was also an old granite quarry in the middle of the park.

Paul and I met the couple freshman year. Actually, if it weren't for Steve, we never would have met each other! During that year Steve and Melissa were not a couple but had dated in highschool. Although they denied it at the time, I knew they were meant for each other. The chemistry was obvious and I could see the joy in each of their eyes whenever they were together. This weekend, I couldn't handle the emotion. When they faced each other, they both started crying and so did everyone else. It was just so beautiful to see a couple's dreams come true and to declare their love to each other in front of their friends and family. I hope and pray that someday Paul and I will have the same opportunity. Steve and Melissa have a beautiful thing. I just hope they know how lucky they are.
